6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
South Chattanooga Recreation Center
Join us for an exciting discussion about the benefits of Urban Trees and how trees affect our day to day lives. This discussion will include some interesting facts about trees and how they communicate with each other and their surroundings. We will also have an opportunity to go for a tree walk and identify some quick and easy ways to recognize different species.
This program will be hosted at the South Chattanooga Recreation Center, 1151 W 40th St, Chattanooga, TN 37409 (NOT at green|spaces).
We will begin inside with a presentation and then continue the program on a short walk nearby, weather permitting.
The South Chattanooga Recreational Center in St. Elmo neighborhood has ample free parking in front and along side the building. Enter through the front door and find the classroom immediately on the right.
Erica Lewis is a certified arborist and tree lover. She has a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology and enjoys all things outdoors. She is a member of the Chattanooga Tree Commission and works as a Utility Arborist for a Co-op in Georgia.
